respective governments |
The governments of both, India and Ukraine
share a close and friendly relationship, especially on matters
of trade and industry. April 1994 saw the formation of the
India-Ukraine Inter-Governmental Commission (IUIGC). Since
then it has held three meetings on Trade, Economic, Scientific,
Technological, Industrial and Cultural Cooperation. Both
India and Ukraine decided to set up two Working Groups.
One of these was on Metallurgy and the other on Power. This
was done to open up new areas of cooperation in the fields
of metallurgy and power respectively. The fourth session
of IUIGC is to be held in New Delhi in 2007.

the two countries. Some other government representatives who
led high powered delegations were Foreign Minister Anatoliy
Zlenko and Chairman (Speaker) Verkhovna Rada (Parliament)
